Hello Missouri!
Yeah! We did it! We pulled off a great Skype interview across the Atlantic between Hermann/Missouri and Berlin/Germany!
We learnt a lot about each other, how the other side live and about the cultures in Germany and North America. It was a big thing for the German kids to learn that kids in Missouri also have German names and celebrate German festivals, such as the Sausage festival.
And it was interesting for us to hear about what life is like in a big city like Berlin. Only 3,000 people live here in Herrmann.
We also covered lots of other important things such as how you live and what your school day is like....
By the end of it we realised that we have a lot in common, even though we've never met.
And we invited each other to come and visit! Here are the highlights of the Skype session, which took place in temperatures of 30°C in the shade, just before the summer holidays. A truly hot event.
